Detailed Exam Information

Shift Timings & Papers

The examination is divided into two levels based on the teaching grade:

  • Paper II (Classes VI to VIII): Held in the Morning Shift from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
  • Paper I (Classes I to V): Held in the Evening Shift from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

Candidates can choose from: English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Assamese, Tibetan, Maniupuri, Konkani, Kashmiri, Dogri, Nepali, Maithili, Garo, Khasi, Mizo, Bodo, Santhali, and Sindhi.

Qualifying Criteria

  • General Category: Must score at least 60% (90 out of 150 marks).
  • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD): Must score at least 55% (82 out of 150 marks).

Application Fee Structure

Fees must be paid online via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.

  4. Document Upload: Upload a scanned photograph (10-100 KB) and signature (3-30 KB) in JPG/JPEG format.
  5. Payment: Pay the fee applicable to your category and paper choice.
  6. Confirmation: Download, save, and print the Confirmation Page for future reference.

Important Instructions & Warnings

  • Strict City Policy: CBSE has clarified that exam cities and specific dates (between Sept 5-6) are allotted randomly. Changes to the allotted city or date will not be entertained under any circumstances.
  • Server Rush: Candidates are advised to apply well before June 10 to avoid server issues on the final day.
  • Correction Window: If errors are made, the correction window is only open from June 15 to June 18, 2026.
